    Adipic Acid is a white crystalline substance with the general properties of aliphatic dibasic acids. Adipic acid is slightly soluble in water & readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol & acetone. It is an important chemical raw material, mainly used in the production of nylon 66, polyurethane, etc. & is widely applied in industries such as plastics, rubber & chemical fibers. Adipic acid can be produced through processes such as the oxidation of cyclohexane.
