    Dioctyl Adipate (DOA), chemically known as bis(2-ethylhexyl) adipate, is a clear, colorless to light-yellow oily liquid belonging to the family of adipate esters. It is produced by the esterification of adipic acid with 2-ethylhexanol. DOA is widely recognized as a typical cold-resistant plasticizer with high plasticizing efficiency and excellent low-temperature flexibility . It offers good resistance to weathering, stable electrical properties, and thermal stability, while being insoluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents .
